Starting in 1974, Meridian’s mission was to eliminate addiction by working with individuals and their families through recognition, prevention, consultation, healthcare, communication, support, and treatment, utilizing a person-centered approach that respects the dignity of every individual. For nearly 50 years since, we’ve continued to expand services in order to deliver a full continuum of care for the Mahoning Valley and beyond. We understand the importance of early intervention and support – that’s why we work to deliver whole-person care that improves lives and strengthens communities.

Your donation stays right here, in the cities and towns we live in, and is used to support programming, community education, awareness and overall operations. It also helps us offer prevention programs to our schools, groups and our community.

Meridian’s Amazon WishList

Many times, people come to our permanent, supportive housing with very few (if any) belongings. Our Amazon Wishlist helps to provide personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and other basic essentials to residents in need. Meridian’s safe, affordable housing options include locations for homeless, veterans, individuals with children, men, persons with chronic mental illness, and low income senior citizens.

The Grace Fund

Every day, people turn to Meridian for help. Unfortunately, many who need treatment for an addiction have inadequate resources or medical insurance. Through the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations who support the Grace Fund, Meridian ensures that those who need help get it — regardless of their ability to pay. The Grace Fund was named in memory of Chilita Grace, a long-time counselor at Meridian who dedicated her life to serving others.
