Meridian HealthCare Invites the Community to Its Annual Health & Wellness Fair on August 5
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Meridian HealthCare is inviting community members of all ages to attend its annual Health & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Judge Joseph Donofrio Center, located at 550 W. Chalmers Ave., Youngstown.
The free community event is designed to connect individuals and families with valuable health information, preventive services, and local organizations that support healthier living. Attendees can explore a variety of wellness resources, meet healthcare professionals, and learn more about the services available throughout the Mahoning Valley.
Visitors will have access to free health screenings, opportunities to speak with Meridian providers and pharmacists, and information about primary care, mental health, addiction recovery, and other wellness services. Guests will also be able to tour Meridian HealthCare’s newly relocated Primary Care space and learn more about the organization’s integrated approach to healthcare.
In addition to health resources, the event will feature family-friendly activities, including a Kids Corner with interactive games and activities for children. Adults can also experience the Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit, an educational display that helps parents and caregivers recognize common warning signs of substance use that may be hidden in a teenager’s bedroom.
Community organizations from across the region will also be on hand to provide information about programs and services available. Participating organizations include The Dental Van, Help Network, Mahoning County Children Services, Alta Head Start, the Youngstown City Health District, Thrive, the Salvation Army, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC), Artress Living Homes, Grand Canyon University, the Early Childhood Resource Center, and additional community partners.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter to win giveaways donated by local community partners.
Meridian HealthCare has served the Mahoning Valley since 1974, providing integrated care that addresses physical health, mental health, addiction recovery, and overall wellness. Events like the Health & Wellness Fair reflect Meridian’s ongoing commitment to making healthcare more accessible while connecting community members with the resources they need to live healthier lives.
The Health & Wellness Fair is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
