Meridian HealthCare Launches $2 Million Expansion to Improve Integrated Patient Care
Meridian HealthCare is set to break ground on a $2 million expansion project at its Meridian Road campus by the end of the summer. The project will add 3,000 square feet of new space and renovate existing facilities, enhancing the delivery of integrated care and improving patient experience.
The expansion, which has been in development for nearly two years, is partially funded by up to $1 million in state capital funds approved by the Ohio Controlling Board. Once completed, the updated campus will include a new on-site pharmacy, additional exam rooms, counseling offices, and a larger multipurpose space for groups and staff development.
“This marks the fourth expansion at this location, allowing us to continue improving access to primary care and behavioral health services,” said Larry Moliterno, President and CEO of Meridian HealthCare. “We’re excited to offer a more convenient and connected experience for our patients.”
The new pharmacy aims to provide greater convenience for patients managing their prescriptions, while expanded clinical and counseling spaces will support the growing demand for comprehensive healthcare services. The project is expected to create 10 new jobs, adding to the current 250 staff members across Meridian’s facilities in Youngstown, Warren, Boardman, and Poland.
To secure state funding, Meridian has committed to providing services to the expanded location for at least 20 years. The project is expected to be completed by early 2026.
Meridian HealthCare continues to integrate primary and behavioral health services to better meet patient’s needs, ensuring a holistic and collaborative approach to care.
