A Chiropractor Can Help Your Recovery From Personal Injury

Personal injury can come in many forms: car accidents, fall accidents, or simply use/overuse injury. Unfortunately, these situations can result in long-lasting pain and sometimes lead to dangerous dependency on pain medication. But, regardless of how your personal injury accident occurred, it’s important to know that chiropractic treatment can help you recover from these types of musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries

Not All Injuries are Obvious

Even after you receive medical treatment, your spine and/or joints may not be in proper anatomical alignment following your accident. This is especially true if you were injured in a car accident, or other high-velocity impact. (Whiplash can lead to severe neck pain that may not manifest for days after an auto accident.)

Similarly, a fall-related incident might not seem to cause severe injury, but back injuries (like lower back pain) and shoulder pain can creep in unexpectedly. In these instances, obtaining an evaluation and treatment from a licensed, professional chiropractor can make a huge difference.

Chiropractic Treatment Can Speed Up Your Recovery

When you seek out chiropractic care at Meridian HealthCare, our chiropractic staff evaluates and diagnoses your injuries, as well as reviews your medical records to check for past injuries that may be causing you chronic pain. Since chiropractic care realigns the spine, joints, and ligaments, the body’s natural healing processes can work more effectively at healing and regaining full range of motion

Even if you’ve received physical therapy for personal injuries, chiropractic care can play a significant role in recovery. If you’re unsure of your next step, speak with your primary care provider or reach out to Meridian’s chiropractic care team.

Insurance Coverage for Your Chiropractic Care

Meridian HealthCare’s chiropractic team is happy to work with a variety of health insurance plans to get medical expenses covered for chiropractic treatments. The number of sessions covered depends on your insurance, but Medicare and most insurances cover approximately 12 visits. Patients should check with their insurance company to confirm that treatments are covered and see if they will incur out-of-pocket expenses.

Insurance providers aren’t the only coverage representatives Meridian HealthCare works alongside. We also handle conversations with attorneys representing a patient, and third-party payers (including at-fault parties).
